This bill would help get schools to stop selling junk food by calling on the U.S. Department of Agriculture to bring its nutrition standards for foods sold out of vending machines, school stores, and a la carte in line with current nutrition science. It would also apply those standards to all foods sold on campus throughout the school day. Senator Lincoln needs to hear from her constituents that Arkansans want soda and junk food out of schools.
