We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit Center for Science in the Public Interest.

The short explanation of this alert was:

Please urge your members of Congress to support the national menu labeling policy, which would provide calories on menus and menu boards of fast-food and other chain restaurants nationwide.  Both public health groups and the restaurant industry support this national policy.

Without clear, easy-to-use nutrition information, it's difficult to make informed choices at chain restaurants.  How could one know that ordering a Chicken Fiesta Burrito (350 calories) instead of a Grilled Stuft Burrito (690 calories) at Taco Bell could save over 300 calories, or that a café mocha and pastry from Starbuck's can provide over 1,000 calories?

Please contact your members of Congress today and urge them to support national menu labeling!
